I have created an application and also created the setup.The application adds it executable file to the user program menu but it does not create a shortcut on the desktop. How do i make my applications create a shourtcut menu on the desktop when they are installed

did you use inbuilt visual studio deployment option..?

if yes than u can easily create a shortcut of exe by right clicking it and selecting Create ShortCut.. then move your shortcut to User's Desktop Folder under "File System On Targe Machine"

sandeepparekh9, thanks. thats what i do but its not professional. An application should normally install a shortcut on the users desktop
