I'm implementing Direct Deposits for our clients, but i would like advice on how to keep it from getting it to the wrong hands. I manage our information through our MySQL Database in a dedicated server. I would like to keep this information as secure as possible. That information should show up on my VB.NET Application and update securely to my MySQL Database.

Well, you can encrypt the transactions with something like PGP.
PGP has an API you can purchase.

You can also use digital certificates on your server and require a certificate from your clients
