Why learn Pascal or delphi? They are both old and not used much. So why learn them instead of a more popular language like Java?

The C-language is even older and still very "popular" today!
Pascal was initialy devised as a tool to learn programming.

Pascal is still used every so often. For example, Innosetup, is a installer for Windows is scripted in Pascal and written in Delphi.

Pascal is used more frequently than that, Hiroshe. The North American software development market is most decidedly swamped with .NET and Java development but the number of boutique software shops using Delphi would surprise you. It's a great tool for developing for Windows, OSX and mobile. It's been paying my bills for the last 30 years.
