if anybody have id or source to read all tags in given aspx file and store them or replace them with other tag, please reply.

Jump to Posty dont u use find and replace option to achieve this functionality.just click ctrl+f .u can type the tag name and the tag u want to replace.

actually , its not this easy , i have created some custom control and in a very big application i want to replace existing control with my custom control , there are some property and functional changes in my control , i want to create a program that will replace existing control with the new one with very few modifications for this i want to use resource files and pattern replacement.
for this i am searching any one has done this kind of program before
if i get code for even c# to vb convertor it could help me.
