I would like to implement a web based UI that allows people to drag and drop "chairs" and "tables" onto a floor layout (grids) and save it to their profile by storing in the database. Just a simple frame that allows multiple tables and chairs to be positioned on the frame, ie from a top-down view. I am wondering how do I start doing this? I am using VB.net with ajax control toolkit. Spent a few hours searching on Google and most recommended FLASH or SVG, however I am a total beginner in those areas. Also saw some j-query scripts, but I have no idea how to save the location of the chairs and tables into the database for loading it at a later time. Thank you for your advice and am open to other more viable alternatives. :D
