If you're picking up the crop info in a browser-side script, you will have to use a browser side script to perform the crop, as the server side stuff has already executed.

I think I have, this is the code

</form>
<?php if ($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] == 'POST' && isset($_POST['crop']))
{
    $targ_w = $targ_h = 150;
    $jpeg_quality = 90;
    $src = '../../static/images/profile-pic/$actual_image_name';
    $img_r = imagecreatefromjpeg($src);
    $dst_r = imagecreatetruecolor($targ_w,$targ_h);
    imagecopyresampled($dst_r,$img_r,0,0,$_POST['x'],$_POST['y'],
    $targ_w,$targ_h,$_POST['w'],$_POST['h']);
    header('Content-type: image/jpeg');
    imagejpeg($dst_r,$output_filename,$jpeg_quality);
    exit;
}
?>
