Hi there,

I recently started learning how create ASP.NET pages using Web Matrix but when I access the Web Control Toolbar and try and drag and drop controls, the selected control does not display properly. It works for some of the controls but for a lot of others in the Web Control toolbar, I keep on getting this error.

The given error message I get is the following, this one for a text box:


Error rendering controls - Textbox1

An unhandled exception has occured.

RegisterForEventValidation can only be called during Render.


Anyhow, I have tried to find help elsewhere to no avail, so if somebody up in here can help me out in a timely manner, that would be really appreciated.

This may sound strange, but have you reinstalled Web Matrix and what version of .Net framework are you running? Have you reinstalled the .Net framework?
