Greetings, I am practicing developing software that can communicate with hardware via an RS232 connection. I am using new PC hardware and I don't have any serial ports, nor do I have any actual devices with me that use serial communication. Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations for software that can run on Windows, preferably on Windows 7 that can emulate a COM port device with basic text IO? It would be nice if I could use this software for free so freeware/open source software is best. Thank you.

Hi, I've started developing for Androind [ditched Symbian but that's a whole diferent styory], and I'm not what you'd call a naturall Java developer [much prefer c++]. Eclipse seems to run rediculously slowly on windows 7 (64bit), and running a dual boot system with Linux [on which it seems to run a lot faster] is out of the qustion as it destabalises my machine. I don't have the cash to invest in a dedicated Linux machine at the moment so that's out of the question, and I need windows for music production. My question is does this have anything to …

Like see this link, http://www.microemu.org/demo.html. Give me some idea or any alternative ways for this?

Hello friends, I am writing a program that behaves like a (Linux)shell (but it's not really a shell because it does not interpret commands itself). It will read some commands like in Linux shell and then run the command in the same window of course. The standard MSDOS shell does not do reverse incremental history search, tab completion, color coding (but BASH has all these cool features) and is something that i want to implement later, now my problem is that i am using the system() function to emulate the commands, but i can not make work the cd command …

Hi All, I am working on the Nohau Emulator with a POD having 68HC11E9 controller in Expanded mode. It was working fine with my target board a couple of months back, but now a days I am facing a problem with it. When I do external memory mapping in the Seehau settings, I see that the data at externally mapped locations show a fixed pattern of 0x00 to 0xFF data for the whole range. I am doing mapping for the locations 0x0000-0x0FFF, 0x1000-0x1FFF, 0x2000-0x2FFF. This is RAM of my Target board. If I try to write something forcefully at these …
