Hi, I need to educate the users that sometimes their computer crash/freeze/hang is due to their non-IT peripherals such as the USB fan, handphones, powerbank and etc. Anyone here came across any articles about such issues? Please provide me the link to the articles and I will share it with the users to let them know about the negative impacts it caused to their PC.

I have to complete this programming homework which consists of building a hangman game. However, the problem is: I do not know how to make it so that, when you guess a correct letter, it reveals that letter in the hidden word while still keeping the other parts of the word hidden. For example : The hidden word is REVEAL. You guess "E". It should now show ".E.E.." in the user's screen. If you guys could help me out with this, I'd be extremely grateful, especially since I'm in a big hurry! By the way, since I live in Quebec, …

Hi, I have no idea in which forum to post this. I run three similar web servers, all w2008R2 with IIS7. two of them only contain ASP / ASP.net sites running on MySQL. The third also contains Sharepoint 2010 with MSSQL server. This server has a problem that is does run non sharepoint sites, but only right after a iisreset. After a while, something seems to go to sleep, because if I do not visit a non SP site for several hours (I did not really time this), it never wakes up: The browser waits forever and I find nothing …

I am fairly new to Pascal and I have been attempting to write a hangman game. I am aware that there are probably so many better ways to do this than I have done but I am having some problems where the exit variable is not met because the current variable has a 1 appended to it. As far as I can tell I have not initialised it with a 1 nor can I find anywhere that would append this 1. It is incredibly frustrating and I am completely stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Program Hangman; Procedure Play; …

My motherboard has 1 stick of 2gb ram and can support up to 4gb total, so I bought exactly the same stick of ram. However, once I installed it the computer would get stuck on "Verifying DMI Pool data". The first time I started it up it did say "Verifying DMI pool data..... Update Success". If I remove the new stick, it boots up fine. I tried resetting the BIOS data and also enabling "update ESCD" but to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks! EDIT: The BIOS recognizes the new stick of RAM and even states that …

I have a Belkin F1DZ104T Omniview SE Plus Series – 4 Port kvm switch and it is attached to 3 windows xp professional pcs and 1 port is used to test a Linux platform appliance. The central keyboard and mouse are both ps2-based. Power comes from both the kvm switch's ac transformer and each of the motherboards from the attached pcs. From time to time, the keyboard hangs such that it is non-responsive on all 4 ports. The attached mouse continues to work without issue. The only other significant thing to note is that when the keyboard hangs, the lights …
