first off my headset isnt a usb its a 3.5mm audio connection. whenever i try to speak to friends with it they can only hear me through the speakers of the headset and the detatchable microphone doesnt work. is this to do with the headset or settings on my pc? either way i am extremely confused.

Hello, i've been having a problem latley with my microphone whenever i plug it in it won't work it was working fine for months but just this 1 time it stopped working suddenly and now every mic i plug in they work for a couple of days then the same thing happens they stop working suddenly wether it's my headset mic or stage mic i dont know if the problem is from the microphones or my computer i would appreciate any help. I recently purchased a headset to talk with my boyfriend online. We use the program Skype rather frequently and find it works alright. However, if I want to play a game or listen to music, or whatever while I am talking on my headset the noise from my game/music blares into my boyfriend's headset. I could have the volume down so low on my end with my game that I can barely hear a whisper, but he still hears it clear as day.
