I posted a blog earlier, but now it's not there.

Why?

*ping Davey ping* <= he'll have to answer this one for you. I don't work with the blog section much.

It was about the iPhone.

Well, I guess you'll just have to get in touch with Davey, then.

It was about the iPhone.

Oh, no wonder why it was deleted.. =p

Lol it was talking about why you shouldn't buy it.

Oh then what the hell was it deleted for!?:ooh: (Outrage!)

Hahah.

I have no clue... I'll have to PM Davey sometime soon.

[edit] - Now, actually. ;)

It was deleted because the piece was cut and pasted, word for word, from another site. The original being part of an editorial at WServerNews

When writing a blog entry feel free to quote from another blog and reference it, but you still need to actually be writing something original, adding your own opinion, putting your spin onto it. You can't just copy something wholesale that has already been posted elsewhere.

It was a good article, I just didn't know that I couldn't copy and paste. It was my first blog ever, but now I'll know what to do.

>I just didn't know that I couldn't copy and paste.
I learned that plagiarism is a bad thing in the third grade. Aren't you 17?

Do you ever stop?!

I didn't realize that you couldn't do that in a BLOG.

You can stop with the harassing remarks now.

>Do you ever stop?!
No.

>I didn't realize that you couldn't do that in a BLOG.
What? Take someone else's work and post it as your own? That kind of applies everywhere, don't you think?

>You can stop with the harassing remarks now.
I'm not harassing you. You're just too sensitive.

I didn't mean to post it as my own; I gave the link to the source. I got it in an email and thought it was interesting, so I reposted it on here.

Yeah, I'm too sensitive and you're too mean. Fair enough?

commented: don't worry. you didn't do anything wrong. +6

I'm sorry. I thought you copied it verbatim and posted the text as your blog.

>Yeah, I'm too sensitive and you're too mean. Fair enough?
That works for me. I never claimed to be otherwise.

I'm sorry.

Haha.. never seen Narue say that before.. ;)

>Haha.. never seen Narue say that before..
I apologize when I make a legitimate mistake. It just happens so rarely that you never see it. ;)

Haha.. never seen Narue say that before.. ;)

it's definitely refreshing .. i think it's the first i've seen :)

"the blogs have to be techincal"

so will my rants about:

dell
vista
apple
the government
pdas

be deleted?

;)

I don't even know how to blog.. Daniweb is certainly missing out :D

> I'm too sensitive and you're too mean. Fair enough?
Yes, even her title suggests the same. :-)

> I don't even know how to blog.. Daniweb is certainly missing out
Missing out something it never had, fair enough. ;-)

when you say title do you mean her username? I thought that it was from the japanese animation series.

In my country there is a mythical creature of the same name. It is a lot like like the American gremlin but instead of tinkering it destroys by force. And also it rarely knows when to stop. But i find it hard to believe that a female would take that thing's name for her own! ( i asume that narue is female since her avatar is )

>when you say title do you mean her username?
Underneath my name is my title: "Accomplished Meanie".

>I thought that it was from the japanese animation series.
No, I didn't enjoy that show enough to use the name. It's just a coincidence.

>In my country there is a mythical creature of the same name.
That's interesting. Do you have any links that describe it in more detail?

>But i find it hard to believe that a female would take that thing's name for her own!
Why? What does gender have to do with it?

>That's interesting. Do you have any links that describe it in more detail?

I do not know if there are any links but I would be really surprised if there are. It is part of Nguni culture and there culture are passed on by spoken word and not writting. I can try and get some info on it though

>Why? What does gender have to do with it?
Because it is a feared and much hated creature. Also it is feral.

It is about the size of a ten year old child but it has enough strength to give a dog such a hiding that it would not beable to sit for weeks. Of course when I said mythical.... Some people, me included, do not believe in Nguni magic or myths. Others however swears by it. My own cousin as well asmy father claims to have had a couple of encounters with creatures from nguni myth.

I think I might have married one...
