Is it fair for one to have the same password for everything?

How do you define "fair"? Is it secure? No.

Convenient for you yes, smart no.

when you're like me and you couldn't care less if somebody hacked the daylights out of the accounts which you generalize the password for, yes.

Of course, for stuff like email and financial things and some other serious stuff it's a big no no.

It is fair. Unless your accounts start complaining.
