I have a first generation ipod, that was hooked up to a mac. I just purchased a pc, and it wont recognize my ipod. Is there a program out there to update my ipod for use on my pc, without erasing all my music?

ITUNES WAS ALREADY ON THE PC. MY HUSBAND HAS AN IPOD AS WELL. THE COMPUTER RECOGNIZES HIS IPOD. BUT HIS LIBRARY WAS ORIGINALLY ON A PC.
