I'm in my 50's and my IT credentials have lapsed. Pre-cancer I was a consultant in software licensing, but my background is more dominantly hardware and developing. I am self-taught in a couple of old irrelevant-to-today languages, and hold a certification for VB6. Hardware I'm certified A+ and some Toshiba certifications. For software licensing I was certified in Microsoft but they have expired.

What I would like to do is get back into developing, and so I'm learning Python. Where should I go with Python, though? I'm a troubleshooter by nature and that has featured heavily as a niche for me in all the fields I've worked in. I enjoy problem solving and path finding.

Any and all advice welcome for a new career direction. (I'm in good health now)
