There is a Mac vs PC survey online at < http://is-nri.com/take/?i=114350&h=OH1dk4V4qxmFZtBtzgvcfg >. It was mildly humorous and only took one minute to complete. I thought I would post in case anyone was interested. I hope they make the results public soon.

hah cool.. the pc owns the mac in every category

"Which would win in a no-rules street fight?" lol

What is your gender?
Other (please specify)

those are the best questions lol

I like this question and answer:

Why do you prefer PC over Mac?

*Only 7 people use Mac and I do not know them

hahah yea.. hey, you can't argue with the truth.

Heh I'm not so sure that PC dominates in all of the above.

How about the 'superior picture/video editing' (or something like that)?

yea.. perhaps it's a tie there lol

Macs are limited though, if you want a better graphics card on a pc you can upgrade, on a mac you have to buy a new mac. i think you can do better on a pc.

I think the macpro has pci slots ? might be wrong though.

I dont like macs. There so expensive.

Mac Mini with:

  • 1.83Ghz Intel Core Duo
  • 512MB memory
  • 80GB hard drive
  • No screen or any peripherals!!!!!

= £529!!!!!!

Dell with:

AMD 64 X2 dual-core processor 5000+
Windows VistaTM Home Premium
2048MB DDR2 RAM
320GB SATA Hard Drive(7200rpm)
19" Analogue Flat Panel Monitor

= £539

Thats right. The dell is waaaaaay better and is only £10 more. In fact it works out the same as dells shipping is £10 cheaper than apples.

the mac pro does have pci-e slots, but pc hardware doesn't work on the mac pro, you need the mac version of the hardware, and right now i think the best video card for mac is the nvidia 7600, i think, i could be wrong

actually it's the nvidia 7300 and the quadro fx 4500, and the radeon x1900, so that's the best.
ont the other hand, pc owners can get the 8800gtx the only gpu that supports DX10

Ive got an x1950 and an x600

lucky, i got old cards:
nvidia tnt something or other
nvidia geforce2
nvidia geforce4 mx440
ati radeon 9200

My dads got a geforce 2 in his old pc.

they've worked \really well with my games, that's why i love nvidia.

The older ones like geforce2 suck though. My dads cant even play Medal of honour allied assault (the ancient d-day one) as it doesnt support multitexturing.

really? cause i can play halo at the low-medium settings just fine.

Yeah, its an ok card in terms of memory and speed. It just doesnt support many features that modern games need.
