That's happened to me before. I don't remember what the cause was ... I think a corrupted cookie.
Not worth trying to figure it out b/c I'm already deep into the code of the next version of vBulletin, and plan on upgrading the site not too long from now.

You need javascript to log out because of the box that says "Are you sure?". I get the problem on my PDA (windows CE, IE5 compatible). Its not javascript friendly and so i can never log out without clearing my cookies.
