I have been a hardware engineer forever (25+), and was introduced to python to
build configurable verilog in sonicsinc in san jose.

I really like the language, and have taken the time to read a couple of books,
as well as writing lots of hardware style python code ( not sophisticated stuff at all)
I struggle with parts of the language that veteran software engineers sneer at,
and sometimes these same types think I must be simple. Its just that there are huge gaps in my understanding of a lot of software issues.

My other hobbies are music, fatasy football, and damage control (for myself) against
my strident sometimes abusive wife (my best friend, but what a pain in the ass)
Anyway, I am not that great at communicating, so some of my questions will seem
a tad strange..
Python is really good stuff, though.
Glad to be on this thread...
