Hi, I have just joined Daniweb and have received the email asking me to introduce myself. Well, I have been working in the IT industry for 20+ years and have had a variety of jobs and roles but that is not really what I want to talk about.
Over the years I have ammassed huge ammounts of information, hundreds of userID's and passwords, I have purchased many assets from computers, cars, Household goods etc, got married, had three kids. For all of these things and more I have had to keep heaps of information filed away about them .... Information Overload!!.
I would get annoyed when I could not find something, or the information I needed when I needed .... so I undertook to do something about it!!
I have developed some software to organise all that information that often does not have a home and often gets lost or easily forgotten. For example, all those User ID's and passwords that get written on bits of paper next to the computer, all the details about things I bought that I can never find when I need to claim on the warranty or find the serial number, Details of the operation I have had or the medication that did not work for me etc.

As I am new to DaniWeb, I will hapilly receive tips on areas of Daniweb that are best for discussion on this sort of thing, if there are any forums already up and running or not etc.
