Hello Everyone at DaniWeb!
Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your community.
A little about me...I am a full time college student taking Electrical Engineering classes and trying to learn C/C++ programming at the young age of 49. I retired from the military before most of the students I am in class with were born, and I have been using computers since I bought my first Commodore Colt. For those that don't know what that was, it was a computer that had 2 5.25" floppy drives (so you didn't have to shut the computer down to change programs) and it had 128 bytes of ram. Quit Laughing! We actually were able to play some primitive video games (like pong) on it and you could type documents and send them to your dot matrix printer and not have to use white out or carbon paper.
I look forward to interacting with everyone. The last time I actually did andy programing, Basic was the new language replacing Cobol and Fortran so that you could input commands in Dos. And yes I remeber when the internet was where you dialed a number and then placed the receiver into a cradle to allow the computers to "talk" to each other. In the event that I ask a completely stupid question, I plan to blame it on being older and not remebering the correct protocol. Besides, it will probably be the truth anyway.
