I am married to an IT professional of many years standing, but only really recently have I taken a big interest in technology myself. Mainly becuase my kids are of an age where they are asking questions about computers and bringing work home from school that demands computer help. With my husband often not being here becuase of work, I had been struggling to help. So decided to get stuck in and learn all I could, hence ending up here.

I must admit to being more of a lurker than a poster, but it's all gravy and I'm learning a load...

My kids are fast getting to the point where they know enough about computers to ask awkward questions of me: and that is the 6 and 8 year olds! They know more, I suspect, than my 17 and 18 year old girls who seem to have escaped inheriting my geek gene.
