Returning after having been away for several years. I mostly code in java at the 1.8 level. Also try to do some html and javascript with the latest project a webpage that uses Leaflet's javascript library to show a map using OpenStreet's Map tiles.

Hi !! A huge welcome back :)

Sorry about the issues you had logging back in. I'm no use with java, but if you have any HTML, CSS, or Javascript questions, I can usually help out.

NORM!

Somebody had to say it. Shout out to George Wendt.

Dani,
Thanks for the offer. I'm a bit of a hacker with javascript. I can usually get the job done with the help of chatGPT, but I'm not sure if the techniques I used are the best. If you get bored some time could you take a look at my ShowMaps program and make some comments or recommendations? Its purpose is to plot placemarkers on a map from markers listed in kml files that were saved by programs like GPSLogger or that were specially created by my java programs. The webpage/program reads a kml file from your disk and displays the markers on a map. Here are links to the webpage and a folder of kml files if you need any for testing:ShowMaps
Page of kml files
I'm shameless in asking someone to look at my code and evaluate it, but why not.
Thanks,
Norm

I've been really struggling the last few days (with my health, as it were) and the constant brain fog sometimes makes it very difficult to do anything non-routine. I'll be sure to check this out soon :)
