Hi everyone,
After updating my phone to Android 14, I’ve been noticing a significant battery drain—even when the phone is idle. I’ve checked background apps and turned off unnecessary features, but it hasn’t helped much.

Is anyone else experiencing this on their Android device? Could this be a firmware or compatibility issue with certain apps? Would love to hear your experiences or any possible fixes you’ve tried. Thanks in advance!

I wish I could be more help, but unfortunately I'm an iPhone user. My husband is actually an engineering manager in charge of battery life at Apple. However, I did a quick Google search to see if I could help you, and it seems as if a lot of people are encountering this problem with the Android 14.

According to someone said that disabling VoLTE stopped it from draining their battery.

According to here, someone said that they charged their battery to 100% and then restarted their phone, and it resolved the problem.

Good luck!

I had the same issue after updating, and what helped me a bit was sideloading an older apk game of a battery optimization app just to test things out. 🔋 Have you tried checking if any background apps are running wild after the update?
