Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up
like every two hours?

Because sleeping babies look so peacefull, calm and confortable, which are characteristics of a good sleep if you ask me.

yes, they do look peaceful when they sleep dont they?

yes, they do look peaceful when they sleep dont they?

Yes they do...

So here is another 1 to ponder...

Since bread is square, why is sandwich meat round?

Because intestines are tubular and set the precedent.

There used to be a round bread in the UK - does it still exist?

There are those little round bread that the bakeries (where I am from) makes and they call it 'hops'...it could hold the sandwich meat properly...it is not as big as the bread used for burgers though...

How do "please keep off the grass" signs get there?

This is just the Question of the Day thread all over again.

I dunno... babies sleep for like 12 hours a day. My nephew's like 1 sleeps from 8PM to 7AM with a nap for an hour or so.

This is just the Question of the Day thread all over again.

I humbly apologize, but when I started this thread, I did not see the Question of the Day thread...I will mark this thread as solved. Thanks for pointing that out.

No need to apologize, just ponder ;)

Humans are programmed for procreation.
Therefore much of our thinking will be manipulated internally for that.
Much like when people find things "cute," it most likely refers to behaviors that a baby would do or faces that it would have.
