The DaniWeb community is pretty worldly, so I though it would be interesting to post the price of beer in your local pub. Be somewhat informative:

Here in the state of Nevada I like to go to Barley's Casino and Brewing Company. A pitcher (60 ounces) of Red Rock lager will set me back $5, add to that an extra Dollar for Dolly for calling me "darling".

For the metric folks, I let you do the calculation, there are 29.57 ml in a US ounce.

Here in Blighty, where the merry ol' folk of Warwickshire may be, you would be paying about £2.50 for a pint in somewhere posh, and under £2 in places ye should ne'er stray.

I can buy 12 cans of Bud Lite for $2.99. I drink 12 cans a night, but I'm a large woman, so I can handle it.

Hello,
I live on an island - Moorea - and the price of the locally-brewed Hinano beer can be anywhere from 180 to 900+ Pacific francs. You can pay 900 and sit on the sand next to a beautiful turquoise lagoon in a ritzy resort, or you can pay 180 and sit on the sand next to a beautiful turquoise lagoon anywhere on the rest of the island. Take your pick. carol

You drunk bastards. I wouldn't touch that vile stuff from a mile away. You shall suffer for your beer.

Now, where the heck is my Vodka

Walked past a bar in Amsterdam saturday who had a large advertisement in the window mentioning a price of €1.10 for beer.
Didn't mention the dose, so I'll assume it's a regular beerglass which would be 0.2 or 0.25 (depending on brand) liter.

How much is the price of a bag of weed in the never-never lands.
:cheesy:

I don't know, I don't visit dealers and they don't advertise in the papers ;)

NJ average beer $5-$7, at a bar and $4-$6 for a shot(whisky, tequila) So if your like me every round is $10-$13. I drink at home its cheaper.

I wouldnt know,i never go to the bar:cheesy:

I think there are only a few places where beer is more expensive than DC! UGH! its about 6 bucks for a beer (not always a pint, by any means!) and 7-9 dollars for a shot. You want shooters? 8 bucks each- especially if you want something from the shelf and not the well.

I worked in a bar in DC for a little bit- that was the best deal. FREE. That's how I like my liquor :)

U are correct, FREE is the best. But when you can't do that drink at home. Its comfy, if ur lucky you got the big screen. You don't have to worry about DWI..... That can be expensive.

I have been in Las Vegas with some friends on the weekend, and the beer or shots are free as long as you play the penny slots. Of course, these folks want you to loosen up and waste your money on their machines or the tables.

A buck a can for any beer here in Dillonvale (at a bar), but I usually buy a six-pack of tallboys (16oz. Milwaukee Best Ice) for $3.19 at the local carry out.
What the Hell, it's a buzz, huh?

I've been around and top price I've seen is in Pappete (Tahiti) some french beer for $25 (and I'm talking small bar, not a night club or similar)

Just came back from a wonderful week on the beaches of Turks and Caicos(British West Indies) average for millers and coors was $12 a sixpac in stores. and about $5 or $6 at bars.

It was cheaper to drink rum.

£2-3 (about $2.50-4) per pint or about $10 for a bottle of vodka from tesco if i want to get serious

I live in Sweden where everything with alcohol is very expensive. A beer, which in many american eyes would be consider 'small' cost aroung $7 in bars/clubs in Sweden.

I have a friend in Cleveland who visited Sweden that said that he'd probably get twice as much beer for even a smaller price (under $7) back home.

I've been around the world and most common price for a beer (bars) is ~$2.

Chaky, i gotta respect you. All over the world.... but $2 as an average I've never really left the north east of USA so I would've thought like $5 was a good average for bar brew.

I traveled but tourist destinations(LA, Cayman Islands, etc..)
I'm truly suprised.

That's the tourist-destination price of beer average.
$2 is the "industrial-destination" average. I'm a seafarer. Not a tourist.

Well that what I mean man, your like a native when you travel, where as I'm a tourist.

In my defense I don't get out much

In my defense, I'd rather be a tourist.

why? I'd rather be like you travel see some sh*&^%t

what do you mean in your defense( I was complimenting you, I wan't being sarcastic)

I was just pointing out that I'd rather do the traveling as a leisure than a necessity for hard work.

6-pack of CBC Nut Brown Ale, India Pale Ale or Regular Pale Ale runs about $6.10-$6.00 US.

Oh my mistake your travel is for buisness
