He's our most famous son - and he hasn't lost his Welsh accent either unlike some others (Catherine Zeta Jones springs to mind).

At first, I thought Sir Tom Jones accent was an English accent.

It's a bit hard to separate a English, Irish, Scotish accent unless you heard it daily and know the differences.

Catherine Zeta Jones is Welsh and I didn't know that either because she's from UK.

I don't think she did (I can't really tell the differences) because she still have that accent when she speaks.
