I've been in bed with the flu for the past week and haven't even looked at my computer. I'm finally starting to feel better!

I'm going through everything that I missed, slowly but surely, but I'm likely not going to catch everything. Were there any important things that I missed that need to be brought to my attention? Any oustanding bugs? Goings on within the community?

Brief orientation: the thread is a short "I've been out sick" note from with supportive replies from , a browser/widget concern mentioned by , and a light-hearted comment from . The discussion dates to March 2014, so any browser versions or troubleshooting steps in the replies may be outdated—confirm against current browser release notes and platform changelogs before acting on them.

Practical quick catch-up checklist (30–60 minutes):

  • Scan pinned/announcement topics and the "Unread" or "New posts" view to spot time-sensitive items.
  • Triage the moderation/flagged queue and any open reports; mark anything security- or availability-related as highest priority.
  • Search recent threads for keywords such as "bug", "outage", "login", or the widget name to surface user-facing problems.
  • Run basic smoke tests (signup/login/post/upload, widget load) in a clean browser profile and in private/incognito mode.
  • Check platform/plugin update history and recent backups so changes made while away are known.

Troubleshooting notes for widget/browser issues: reproduce the problem on a clean profile, capture the browser console and network errors, and test with extensions (adblockers, script blockers) disabled. If the widget calls external APIs, check server logs and response codes. Collect exact error messages and step-by-step reproduction notes before opening a bug report—this speeds diagnosis. A temporary fallback (static link or image) can reduce user impact while investigating.

Prioritization guidance: address security and core site flows first (login, posting, data integrity), then user-visible widgets and cosmetics. A concise status update from the thread starter summarizing any immediate actions taken helps focus volunteers and moderators while the deeper follow-up work is scheduled.

Glad you are feeling better at last! :)

Thanks Davey!! I'm still not 100%, but I'm feeling well enough to get out of bed and make it onto the computer for awhile. I'm going to try to go to the office tomorrow for a few hours, too.

Does the bug still exist with the Google+ widget in the latest version of Google Chrome? I noticed that Chrome released an update the other day. Did they fix the bug?

Woot Woot! They solved the problem in the latest chrome update (version 33.0.1750.152).

OK, good to hear. Here's hoping not very many people have the bad Chrome release since it was so short lived.

Obama has been impeached and I became president.

Just kidding, hope you're feeling much better!!! :)
