I have a very annoying problem
when ever i am browsing folders my pc freezes up and its very random the way it dose it sometime 3 seconds into browsing other 16 and if im lucky it wont happen but not very often

(IF THIS HELPS)
i have a windows xp hp pavilion 721a service pack 2
1.8 ghz
60.0gb hard drive
768mb ram
intel pentium 4
256mb ati graphics card

LOOK ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED I DONT REALLY WANNA HAVE TO DO A FULL SYSTEM RESTOR ON MY COMPUTER SO ANY INFO YOU HAVE WOULD BE GREAT

You don't need to do a full system restore, but you could do a partial one. Just roll it back say a week or something.

Additionally, run a virus and spyware check.

I'd say that a good disk defragment is in need. Try running it and see what happens. Or, do what iamthwee said.
