Hey DaniWeb people
I need help with viruses and Trojans? Infostealer and Trojan.Metajuan etc etc...What is the best way to remove them?
I have Windows Xp..

Getting lots of pop ups for antivirus software ???? GRRRRRR..
I have ran AVG and Norton but doesn't get rid of it -

Where do I go from here, can someone guide me through it all please.

It is the bug that keepes crashing my internet explorer.

Yea seen several of these.

HOW TO REMOVE Trojan.Metajuan:
1) Temporarily Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP). Go to Start - Control panel if in category veiw go to performance and maintenence the system if in classic - system then click the restore tab and disable.
2) Update the virus definitions. (if you have a virus detector.if not GET one.
3) Reboot computer in SafeMode - hit F8 as it boots
4) Run a full system scan and clean/delete all infected files
5) Delete any values added to the registry. Go to Start - Run - type REGEDIT
Navigate to and delete the following registry entry:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID68D5CF1D-EC5C-4bdd-A9EF-F0E517565D50}InprocServer32
          "Default" = "%Temp%[NAME OF TROJAN EXECUTABLE].dll"

Navigate to and delete the following registry subkey:[/COLOR]

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerBrowser        Helper Objects{68D5CF1D-EC5C-4bdd-A9EF-F0E517565D50}

6) Exit registry editor and restart the computer.

Then go run these.

Get this and run.

Get this and install update and run.

Go here and run these online scanners.

After you do these download this and run it and post you log file.
