PR has returned. Some pages are still grey for me - but then I'll hit refresh and suddenly my green bar. No PR change, which is very disappointing.

From what GoogleGuy reportedly said, it was due to infrastructure changes (to hardware, I believe).

I read somewhere that GoogleGuy confirmed a PR update every 4 months or so. What this means is that we can actually know that Google just isn't arbitrarily updating PR when they feel like it, then making us feel like they're ditching it for good. It really is on some sort of schedule.
