If I submit a temporary removal in Google Search Console of a folder that contains a ton of thin content, will that near-instantly reflect on the quality of my domain? Or do I have to wait for Google to recrawl all of the pages in that folder to find that they are now noindexed (they weren't previously)?

temporary removal generally takes 24 hours and removes from index for the period noted - can have a minor impact on site authority etc but loses the internal linkings
