For me, it is the hit and trial. So, what I mean by this is, in SEO, there is no fixed rule for what will work for you. Hence, you try various strategies on your website and eventually discover the best strategy that works for your website.

See, no one can teach you SEO; you master it eventually, and since Google has not made its algorithm public, most things work on assumptions.

For example, when your website's ranking experiences a downfall, there is not a single way to determine the reason why your ranking suffered. Hence, the option left is to research and try to implement a strategy that can again establish your page at a higher ranking than your competitors.
