Currently, when a member @mentions another member in their post, clicking on it opens a modal with all of the posts in that thread that were posted by the member being mentioned.
I've been told by Google AI (a very trustworthy source, to be sure) that it's horrible UX because everyone expects mentions to link to member profiles. The thing is, from an SEO perspective, linking to member profiles (which are very thin content here at DaniWeb) seems to be worse than a <button> that does not take away from the crawl budget.
So what say you, UX peeps?
