I digitized all my CD's so I can listen to music via PC connection to my stereo receiver. I plugged an A/V adapter into the green 1/8" sound output port on the back of the computer, then connected it to my receiver with 2 regular a/v cords.

The sound comes thru good, but there is a low frequency humm in the background. I tried using different input ports on the receiver such as CD, Phono, Video 1, etc. I still have the humm.

Is there any way to get rid of it?
Thanks

try playing with the sound levels on the pc and on the sound systems ampilifier

i found this when using my Xbox with my hi-fi.

Try and set the xbox (pc in your case) to lowest vol and then using the hifi to adjust the volume to teh desired level.

That did the trick.
Thanks
