Ok i just bought a new 200 gig maxtor hard drive ata 133 how do i get it to be recognized when i boot up my comp i want to put my operating system on there

Have you hooked it up to your comp and booted it up yet, or are you have problems with it. It should already be set to master jumper settings. If you can locate the jumpers(usually on the side or bottom) just check and make sure they are set to master, and there should be a diagram on the top(to show how to set the jumpers)
