Hello,

Yesterday my video card broke down, so I bought a new one from my friend and tried it in my pc. The problem is : when I plug it in, the PC will boot, but it won't output anything, even when I connect my monitor to the motherboard video output. When I disconnect the video card everything works fine. I have an AMD Motherboard with a GeForce GT220 1GB.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

You may have a faulty graphics card, if you can try to get your hands on another graphics card to test on the system. If your system works fine without the graphics card attached, this is probably the issue.

Instead of getting another graphics card why not test it on other computers. Are you sure it is compatible?

Sometimes you have to reset your BIOS to avoid using the build-in graphics hardware.
