I have an HP Laser Jet 1300 which I am switching to a different machine. I can't get the driver to work.
One that I dowloaded says I need administrator right to run the program (Setconfig_RmTool).

The other (lj1300pcl6win9xme-en opens as a zip file and autmatically creates a folder and adds around 20 fils. Mostly dll files, two applicationfiles. None of them will open. there are supposed to be two inf files. they don/t show. I did get them to show once in Add a Printer, but they would not open.

after rebooting I couldn't get them any more.

When clicking print it shows the right printer, but nothing happens. The driver must not be installing.

Any ideas?
