cd drive is not working all of the sudden its stop working

If you have shared more like "Device manager shows Code 39" or such I would have other ideas. But you didn't tell much.

- Do a full cold shutdown - no sleep and no hibernate.
- Restart the computer.
- Get some compressed air and blow the dust out of the drive.
- Try the CD/DVD drive again.
If it works, it was a system software glitch or dirt on the read/write head. If not, get a replacement drive.
