I am using acer aspire 4730z, windows 7 32 bit
cd drive is not working all of the sudden its stop working

how to solve it can you people help me

This is where I pull out my 20 dollar USB DVDRW and use that instead. Your post is tantamount to "it's broken" with no detail.

If you have shared more like "Device manager shows Code 39" or such I would have other ideas. But you didn't tell much.

  1. Do a full cold shutdown - no sleep and no hibernate.
  2. Restart the computer.
  3. Get some compressed air and blow the dust out of the drive.
  4. Try the CD/DVD drive again.

If it works, it was a system software glitch or dirt on the read/write head. If not, get a replacement drive.
