I know this topic has been discussed a few times already, but here I am with another question specific to my situation.

ASUS A8V DELUXE MOTHERBOARD
Seagate 320 GB SATA II HD from Future Shop.

I have OS (Win XP) Installed on an IDE Drive already. The SG Drive is recognized at the startup for the computer. However, once I get into Windows, I don't see the HD anywhere. I go to Disk Management to try and initialize the HD and it's not even showing up there. I've gotten the Seagate DiscWizard software...nothing. I'm at a loss and I'm ready to bring the darn thing to a tech. But I want to exhaust everything I can and avoid doing that because I'm sure it's something simple.

All of the cables are properly connected as well as connected in the right spots. Any help would be GREAT!

Thanks guys/gals.

SATA hdds don't use jumpers for master and slave, they are totally independent.
