My friend is having some issues with his machine not properly booting up at all times. The system does run, though at times it crashes and refuses to boot.

Specs:

PSU: 350W TTGI
Mobo: MSI M7NCD nForce2 Biostar
RAM: 2GB PC3200 Corsair
HDD: 120GB
Video: BFG GeForce 6800 GT OC
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 3200+ 2.2GHz

He says this is a recent issue and he has not changed any hardware for the past year.

Has he had a virus/Spyware infection recently?
If so that may be causing his problems, tell him to run a scan using whatever anti-virus software he has.
