Hey friends,

I've got some major problems here. I've got so many nasties that have infiltrated my computer to name a few bargain buddy, virtual bouncer, web rebates, etc. I've tried to remove them with remove programs, but they keep returning. Ive installed mcafee internet security suite but something wont let me install virus scan program. Mcafee's privacy service helped to eliminate a few of the offending programs, but when i've reviewed my HJT log ive still got nearly 50 programs running at start up and i know many of them are nasties. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Heres my HJT log:

Two possible reasons:
1) there's something you didn't catch which keeps reloading the stuff
2) you keep visiting the same old websites (or running the same old applications) which got it onto your machine in the first place.

The following look suspicious to me. Maybe there's a few there that you know are safe (or that someone else recognises as safe) but most should be removed (I included realplayer in there because it's spyware infested).

Download & instal Spybot S&D 1.3 from here. Update it before scanning.
After the scan is complete, have spybot fix everything marked RED.
On the page that first opens when you start Spybot there is an option to immunise, you should do this. In the immunise section there is also a link to download Spywareblaster. This program will prevent the install of bad activex controls that it has knowledge of. Download that & you can keep it updated by selecting the same link that you use to download it. Reboot

Go here to TrendMicro for an on-line scan & set it to autoclean for you.

Try this scan at Panda as well.

Download sysclean (free) from Trend Micro, allow it to clean up any bad files it finds. It may take a while, so have a cuppa whilst it's running :).

Be sure to download and install the latest pattern file. There's a link to it at the lower left-hand colum of the page. It will not run without the pattern file.

From Trend:

Note that for the Trend Micro Sysclean Package to be effective, you must download and place the latest pattern file in the same folder as the Trend Micro Sysclean Package.
