Browser keeps getting reset to <none>..etc

Hi,
The last time i brought this problem up, i was not able to clear the virus outta my laptop as after performing all the instructions, on reboot, the sygate firewall warning would tell me that my browser was getting reset. :sad: Disgusted, I reformatted my hard drive and gave the laptop to my dad.

I bought a brand new Toshiba :D , disabled I.E, loaded Firefox and have Norton Antivirus, Adware 1.6, spybot 1.4, sygate firewall, spywareblaster, aboutbuster, hijack this & CWShredder but somehow the darned browser hijacker has got into my new laptop :cry:

everytime i boot the laptop the first message is from Sygate firewall telling me my browser setting is being reset to <none> from toshiba.com and would i like to keep new or old value. I close out of the window without accepting anychoice.

HEEEELLLLPPPP. I checked my Hkey/local machine.......AppInit_DLLs and the value is 0000 00 ... under modify binary value.

I don't see any signs of malicious infections in your log. What happens if you just choose to accept or deny the change when prompted by Sygate instead of closing out of the window each time?

One possibility to check:

You have at least three programs controlling and monitoring your IE page settings (SpyBot, SpywareGuard, and SpywareBlaster). The attempted page change could be the result of one program thinking that one of your IE page settings should be changed to something other than its current page. In other words, perhaps all of your IE protection programs aren't all on the same, um... page. (ouch- bad pun)

Hi DMR,
It worked !!!! I rebooted, allowed the changes and accepted the new values. Below is the list of logs created by Spyware Gaurd.

I ensured that all the home pages have been synchronized to the same URL on my Spyware & Adware programs.

I once again rebooted and this time i did not get the evil pop up screen changing the values.
