If you are using Firefox, click on tools, select options, then choose the privacy tab. Click on remove individual cookies and follow directions from there.

Practically a Posting Shark
with win xp go control panel > click internet option.
In general tab the temporary Internet files section you find a button with named "Delete cookies"
