i started up my computer recently and discovered a number of changes in which i did not change. First off there was a new spyware remover pogram call wareout that i did not install and also my internet explorer had a new search bar...but i cant rember what it was called. Anyway i got rid of these by using hijackthis and pocketkiller and this seemed to have worked. However after deleting these I could still not open norton antivirus nor update it. The only way I can open it is in safe mode. It seems to be still running in the back ground and it sometimes tells me that it has found the trojan hclean.exe and it cannot delete it. I then go to use pocket killer and the file is not there. I ran norton in safe mode and it turned up two trojans and deleted them and i figured that it had got rid of the trojan but when I booted up again in normal mode it still would not open. When i try to open it nothing happens and when I go to task manager i find that my processor is being 100% used by norton. I have sinced re installed it to no avail. So far i have scanned my computer with norton, tredmicro housecall, bitdefender online (which turned up about 5 trojans and deleted them), trojan remover (nothing found), adware SE and trojan hunter (this found 3 trojans and deleted them but i forgot to get there names). After all this I still cant open norton and other funny things are starting to happen. When I search in google and click on a link that is found i get sent to a different site each time and the site I go to is not what i selected. I also get a popup msg that tell me that windows fire wall has detected spyware activity and ask me if i wish to find out how to get rid of it. If I click yes I get directed to a site call free...scanner.com (cant remeber the exact name). Also gt i msg with a similar msg that comes up form where the time is located. I cant figure this out, i cant find anything that is running that would cause this nor can find anything in hijackthis and there seems to be no scanner on the net that can help me. PLEASE HELP before i have to re format
I am curently running Windows XP with service pack 1. i have include both my hijackthis log and silent runners
