I've scanned my machine with
McAfee
AdAware
Spybot
Trend Micro anti spyware
Windows Defender
and cleaned up a bunch of stuff

At the moment, though, I have a bunch of new files cropping up in the system32 directory with file names in braces {94....}.exe as an example. McAfee keeps telling me it's deleting them as isfected by various trojans, but I keep getting 5 or 6 of these at a time, several times a minute.

If your system is infected *that* much, I always recommend a complete re-format and -install job, since I don't believe in cleaning up of zombified computers - once a system is infected by more than one well-known malware, only human experts can get rid of them, other than software. You can't trust a compromised system. Learn how to secure your system from countless sources on the net and on this site, before setting up your computer again.

The entry
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winlogons.exe] C:\Program Files\Free KGB\winlogons.exe
refers to a keylogger that came in as a trojan's payload. That's why I post here: If you have an eBay, PayPal or similar account that can be abused, contact them to disable/change the accounts. Otherwise you can expect real trouble. Your email accounts and all your passwords and personal data can be available for exploitation now. You should secure the HJT-log and all found malware files to a safe place (burn on CD or similar) prior to any cleanup attempt. This way, you can provide evidences if someone bought or did something bad with your accounts.

Actually, I installed KBG logger a year ago, because my son was using my computer for "not approved" purposes. I thought I'd removed it since then ... perhaps it left some traces...

I always run an anti-virus program which searches for spyware as well (McAfee). I run either spybot or Adaware weekly, and am very careful about recieved mail. I think what happened here is that #2 son discovered that greatest of internet passions - porn- and got smashed by one of the free porn - have a movie and 42 viruses - sites.

Anyone else have any thoughts as to what I've got that's autoreloading new trojans?
