Close all (browser) windows & rescan with hijackthis. When the scan is finished place a check in the box to the left of the following entries & click 'fix checked' :

I am noticing one thing, now that it works and my browser isn't getting hijacked, i can only have only internet explorer window open at all times, do you know how i can fix this. Whenever i open a new window it takes the place of the original explorer window

Fix these two with HJT & I will have to get back to you later on this latest problem as I have to go out for a while.

I keep "fixing" those two entries, about 5 times now, and they will not go away. Not sure what is causing that...

Ok so I have everything fixed now, I just restored the default search pages, etc... under internet options, and the single window of internet explorer was fixed by uninstalling yahoo companion...found that from another message board... everything seems to be fine now, thanks a lot for all your help...

My pleasure :) . Marking this as solved. Anyone with similar problems, please start your own thread. Thank you.
