I'm new to these forums. My son came home from college with his laptop pretty snarled up. I think I've cleaned up quite a bit thanks to advice to others that I've read on this forum.

When his laptop (Sony Vaio, PCG-XG700K with Win 2000 Pro) boots, the following error message appears referring to a missing file: C:\WINNT\system32\bridge.dll

Here's the HiJackthis log file...any help you can provide is much appreciated. Thanks!

Platform: Windows 2000 SP3 (WinNT 5.00.2195)
MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP1 (6.00.2800.1106)
