I have an external cd burner. Suse picks It up fine, but when I go to set up the mount point, it tells me writing to drives is not supported. What do I need to change to allow me to write to drives. I'm also have the same problem with my Floppy drive.

Are you setting these mountpoints up as a regular user? You need to do it as root.
