Hi

Everytime I start up linux it gives me a message that the dma is disabled,
and I cant figure out how to enable it.

Hard drive is : hdb, IBM, DAQA-33240, (geometry)395/255/63
The hd is formatted using: Journalized FS: ReiserFS

The quick and dirty answer is: hdparm -d1 /dev/[drive]

-dx enable (1) / disable (0) DMA
