I have installed apache server on Ubuntu 9.1 desktop. When I access http://localhost:8888 or http://192.168.1.60:8888, I get message : "It works".

Now, I am able to run the apache on the port 8888 using the windows 7 without any problem and I accessed it from outside internet and that worked great!! The router is configured correctly 100%. The problem I am unable to do that on LINUX. Now, I have assigned to my computer that has linux Ubuntu 9.1 the IP Address:192.168.1.60 with the port: 8888. Inside my LAN, I can reach the page: "It works!" when I access the address 192.168.1.60:8888,

But when I access the router IP address with port or without port, then I get no response! When using windows 7 and accessing the router IP address, I access the application direct!

Please help me, below all configuration files that you need. Please correct for me if they have any wrong. I always restart the apache in linux after any modification. Thanks.

Also, I get NO errors after restarting the apache!

Hello, just to update this issue, I am able to see the service now on port 8888 from www.canyouseeme.org, but the PROBLEM I am unable to access my application from the global internet, I tried to access the router IP address with port number but it does not work. Please can you advise? Thanks.

I have solved it, just disabled the wireless and forced apache to listen to 8888 only.
