I am a Newbie here seeking help with my powerbook Pismo G4 (Daystar upgrade, with xceler8) which has been running well until a crash copying music CD to itunes. It then quit suddenly with a scrolling "Command- line" script. After restarting the process would get as far as the desk top before freezing wth a "black box" multilanguage dialogue box appeared, prompting me to "restart". I then ran the "Disk FirstAid" utility on my 10.4.5 Tiger disk. This noted "overlapping" blocks and 103 or 104 blocks. Unfortunately, the repair process was unsuccessful, and I again received the "Restart" message before the repair process was completed.
After several repetitions of this I purchased Disk Warrior v4.1, which appeared initially to be running successfully and rebuilding my directories. When the thermometer had reached one half way across, it too crashed. Now the situation appears to be far worse.I can't restart from either disk. I have also reset pram, and restarted while depressing the "shift key"without any relief. Once in a couple of attempts, I can actually get the desk top, before it crashes
